We hope you are all safe and keeping well. Here are a couple of updates from the Society.
We have a members’ Evening Garden Visit planned for Tuesday the 27th July starting at 6pm. The garden is Fittleworth House. Bedham Lane. Fittleworth. RH20 1JH. We are restricted to numbers for this visit, and so if you would like to come, can you please book a place by phoning Carol Treharne on 01403 261737. The entry fee for the visit is £5.50, and all the details and directions for the visit were in the Spring 2020 newsletter.
We are also at the moment hoping to hold our Summer Show. This will be on Saturday 7th August 2021 at North Heath Hall Horsham. We will be using the Summer Show schedule that we issued last year 2020. Hopefully you will still have your copy of the green schedule booklet. If not all the details of classes etc can be found on our website which is. www.horshamhorticulturalsociety.co.uk.
Entry forms can be found in the booklet or you can enter by e mail at firstname.lastname@example.org. Entries can also be made by phone direct with Carolyn Smith on 01403 255253. ALL entries need to be in by Thursday 5th August before 8pm.
Please have a look at the schedule and consider putting in a few entries . Let us make this a good first show after all the lockdowns and restrictions we have had to endure.
At the moment we are restricted to members only (plus family members) attending the show, however this may change when the Government restrictions are looked at again over the next few months.
We are also hoping to go ahead with our planned outing to RHS Wisley in September, but again we are waiting to hear from Wisley when they will be allowing coach parties in. Further details to follow. There are still places available, so if you would like to come with us to Wisley, please contact Sue Hammond. Details are also in the Spring 2020 newsletter and on the website.
We will of course keep you updated on the above events as and when things change (hopefully for the better). We are also hoping that we can restart our evening lectures in October this year.
