Coach Outing & Evening Garden Visits

Coach Outing to RHS garden Wisley.

September 26th 2021

28 Members visited the RHS garden at Wisley by coach. We had our body temperatures checked before boarding the coach and sat safely distanced from one  another. Wearing masks did not seem to diminish the excited conversation as we journeyed up the M25. We arrived at 11.00am and were released into the wonderful grounds of Wisley with instructions to be back at the coach for a 4pm departure.

It was a glorious late summer’s day  and there was a great deal to see, we each had a free garden plan and a £5 voucher to spend in the shop! The RHS has opened a new Hilltop learning centre with a roof top viewing platform providing panoramic views. The gift shop and plant centre has been enlarged and upgraded. There are now six cafes on site and lots to see. In late summer the vegetables and fruit were displayed in their full glory and the woodland walks were many and extremely beautiful.

What a great day out!! West Sussex and Surrey were deluged with heavy rain the next day accompanied by strong winds heralding the last of summer; we were very fortunate to enjoy Wisley when we did.

There are a few pictures of our visit
