Review of the visit to Warnham Nature Reserve on 21st June 2022

I was disappointed that I was unable to join the 16 members for a guided tour of the reserve on the evening of the summer solstice. It sounds as though the visit was a great success, there were lots of birds on view from the hides including two pairs of Kingfishers who have managed to raise three fledglings this year. The highlight of the evening may have been the sight of a frog catching and eating a dragonfly in front of the visitors! Unfortunately there are no photos of this shocking example of nature red in tooth and claw. There were cakes to be enjoyed at the end of the visit as well.

Many thanks to the staff and volunteers who made the visit such a success.
