About us

Horsham Horticultural Society was founded in 1945 to promote an interest in horticulture and to encourage gardening in Horsham and the surrounding district.  We hold meetings over the winter months from October to March starting at 7:30. For full details visit our Winter Meetings 2025- 2026 page.

Our next winter meeting is on 10th February 2026 when we will be joined by Geoffrey Mead who will speak to us about Feeding the Nation. He will be telling us about farming and how it has changed in our area over the years.

On 25th November we had a very enjoyable talk from Nir Halfon on Biodynamics regarding lunar and planetary cycles influencing plant growth. Nir asked if anyone was interested in joining an experiment for The Biodynamic Association. Please click on link below for more information.

2026 Spring Plant & Flower Show

Sunday, 29th March 2026
Viewing: 2.30 – 3.45 pm
Venue:
NORTH HEATH HALL, ST MARK’S LANE, HORSHAM, RH12 5PU
Staging of exhibits (open to exhibitors only) – 11.00 am – 12.15 pm.
The cups will be presented at 3.45 pm followed by the raffle.

Help Required

We are crrently struggling and would really appreciate any members volunteering to join our committee. You can do as much or as little as you like, but any help would really be welcomed. Other societies have had to close their doors for good owing to lack of committee members. We would hate for that to happen to us.
